Default Small Gripe before Faction release: Vital Weapon
Why is Vital Weapon not a restoration Magic Skill?

It is in communing, oddly enough. It gives extra health, not attacking power (unlike Guided weapon).

vital weapon = vital blessing for ritualists

Communing = Protection Prayers

Restoration = Healing Prayers

Nuff said.

Restoration includes spells that increase armor, increase max health, or block attacks. Those are a lot more like Protection Prayers than Healing Prayers, if you ask me. (Restoration also has condition removal, which is part of Protection when monks do it.) Your attribute correlation is oversimplified.
